NATURAL LIGHT WORKSHOP
March 3, 2018 - 9AM to 6:30PM
INFO & SCHEDULE

This workshop focuses on shooting indoor studio with all natural light, along with editing and retouching. The business and technical aspect of photography will not be prevalent in this workshop. We will not be using any flash, strobes, softboxes, lights, etc. of any kind. If needed, we will be using continuous light. But it is not likely. Photographers who are looking for technical photography tips and information, flash/studio type photos are not encouraged to take this workshop - as it is more artistic than it is technical. Please see example images below and my main portfolio images for the intended style and direction of this workshop. This course is recommended for experienced, intermediate level photographers. 

Photoshoot & Creative Team
Morning - 9:00 AM to 1 PM
I will be going over my:

• Personal process
• My favorite equipment
• Ways I shoot
• How I work with models & pose them
• Creative team and how I work with them

We will then shoot with 2 styled models. Each attendee will have 1 on 1 time with both professional models and be able to take their own photos for portfolio use. I will also be mentoring each group as they shoot and offer my own tips and advice. 

*45 min lunch break

Post Processing & Retouching
Afternoon - 1:45 PM to 6:30 PM
Using the photos we took earlier, I will go over:

• Image selection / What I look for in photos
• Simple base color grading & post processing
• Retouching skin 
• Do's and Don'ts
• 1 on 1 critique & group critique with each attendee

You will be editing alongside me and watching how I transform my image. I will also include a pack of Lightroom presets, and one of my photoshop actions for future use. These will be given out before the workshop.

LOCATION
Photo Studio in Downtown Los Angeles (details will be given to each individual when they complete registration)

Programs *REQUIRED
For the editing and retouching portion of this workshop I will be using Adobe Photoshop (newest version or CS6 is fine) and Lightroom. It is required you have both programs, as well as your own laptop.

Cameras and Lenses *REQUIRED
I will be using my Canon 5D Mark III with my 50mm 1.2 Lens (and 24-70mm II). Please bring whatever lens and camera you'd like. All attendees must bring their own equipment. It is recommended to have a 50mm 1.4/1.2, 24-70mm or 85mm 1.2 for this type of photography style.

OTHER THINGS YOU'LL NEED *REQUIRED
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MEMORY CARD/CF CARD READERS! You will need to import your photos right after the shoot into your computer. Make sure you have all cables/importing material necessary to be able to do this.

Light breakfast & lunch will be provided. This price does not include accommodation or travel. It only includes the day of the workshop. Attendees will be expected to cover their own accommodations, travels, flights, etc. Jessica Kobeissi Photography LLC is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or extra expenses of any kind that attendees might incur.

Please keep in mind the deposit is non-refundable, and full payment is due 15 days before the date of the workshop (March 3, 2018). If full payment is not made, attendee forfeits their reservation. Jessica Kobeissi Photography LLC is not responsible for any losses attendees may incur because of this. They may use their deposit as a credit towards future workshops.
